With the Ravens season cut short during playoffs thanks to Emily from MTV’s Real World, aka Joe Flacco, offensive lineman Michael Oren is spending the off season as the United States Ambassador to Israel.
Psyched by the incredible amount of international progress between Israel and the rest of the Muslim world, Oren decided to both proclaim his success as ambassador of Israeli and promote his adoptive father’s movie, The Blind Side, in Little Jerusalem at Irvine. Little did Oren know that Irvine is a hot bed of Mel Gibson supporters of Palestinian origin. Incredibly pissed off that Edge of Darkness lost out in this year’s Oscar contention for Best Film of the Year to Oren’s biographical film, the Gibson supporters, ignorant to the fact that Gibson’s flick was made 10 days shy for this year’s Oscar contention, had dogs in the fight and continually disrupted Oren’s 30 minute speech shouting phrases such as “Israel” and “Sandra Bullock is a POA, but otherwise your movie is a sucked [sic]. ” Twelve Gibson supporters were arrested, and Oren was never able to finish his speech. The event marked the pinnacle of Irvine’s historical progressive movement.
